Drafting for Heist
Safe damage, a way to reach it, and someone to handle their push.
Separate safe pressure from defensive value
A brawler can defend well and still offer little objective damage. Another may threaten huge damage but struggle to reach the safe. Draft a route that lets your damage source work while retaining an answer to the enemy’s main threat.
If the team already has safe damage, the last pick may be more useful opening a lane or preventing an enemy race. If it lacks objective damage entirely, another comfortable control pick may leave the core problem unsolved.
Use the actual lanes and wall layout
An open lane, a protected approach and breakable cover can each favour different ways to pressure the safe. Check whether your wall interaction helps your own damage plan or exposes your defence. Do not carry a favourite pick unchanged between very different Heist maps.
Live Draft evaluates the selected map and revealed teams. Use its shortlist alongside one explicit question: who gives our current composition a realistic way to reach and damage the objective?
Before you lock in.
- Who provides safe damage?
- How do they reach the safe?
- Who handles the enemy’s main damage threat?
